Today, I made a special trip to the post office to check my mailbox. I’ve been expecting the music for the All American Chorus – – the DAR’s chorus that I’ll be singing with for the first time at the end of the month.
Today it arrived, and the music delivered all I expected and then some.
One of the arrangements is entitled Song for the Unsung Hero. The lyrics include “…Those whose uniform is courage…finding in their love of freedom power stronger than their fears…” This is a truly inspirational bit of music that I will take great joy in singing.
The unsung hero is something that I think we as a society have come to better recognize in the past several years. I do feel that there is more pride and respect of our military – those often unsung heroes. I hope that doesn’t waiver.
I’m very proud to be associated with an organization that seeks to honor and recognize our military heroes. I hope that you all take a moment to thank an unsung hero today. It’ll mean more than you can imagine!
